About St. Mary's Richmond AC
Membership is available to all abilities from the age of 10 and up, and everyone can benefit from coaching suitable to them. St Mary’s Richmond AC provides training in all track and field events, with a thriving Junior section (Yr6-9) focused on a holistic development of members athletic abilities through a Long Term Athlete Development model, before event specific training occurs for Years 10 and above. There are also competition opportunities for our members throughout the year, and the club actively encourages the membership to compete in order to realise their goals and achieve their full potential.
On the track we have teams in the Southern Athletics League, Youth Development League and the Rosenheim League, In addition to the County, Area and National Championships. There are also numerous open meetings and specialist event meets such as those organised by the British Milers Club that are supported by our athletes.
In the winter runners can compete in cross country with teams in the Metropolitan League as well as the various Championship races.
Like Richmond & Twickenham AC, the name of the club before it relocated to St Mary’s University, St Mary’s Richmond AC has close ties with the cross-country and road-running club Ranelagh Harriers. Members of running clubs such as Ranelagh or Stragglers can join and compete on the track for St Mary’s Richmond, provided that they do not take part in track competition for any other club.
