PRE-REGISTRATION – CLOSING DATE 30TH AUGUST 2017
Pre-registration is mandatory for Pole Vault because entries for this event will be limited to 12 on a first come first served basis. On-the-day registration will be available for all other events. However, it would help the organisers if as many athletes as possible could take the trouble to pre-register.
Please complete either:
paper form attached below, and return it with payment (cheque payable to St Mary’s Richmond AC, please) to:
John Curtin, 6 Silverdale Drive, TW16 6HD.
Please ensure you are conversant with the following information. SMRAC cannot be held responsible for problems experienced on the day due to a lack of understanding of the process.
CAR PARKING: Parking spaces at the venue are very limited. Please allow plenty of time if you have to park on a residential road in the area.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
- Only officials and competing athletes are allowed inside the competition area, i.e. inside the track boundary fence. Warming up should be done on the adjacent rugby pitches.
- Athletes must NOT use electronic equipment within the competition area. Any athlete found doing so may be liable to disqualification.
REGISTRATION: On-the-day entries will be allowed except for the Pole Vault event for which pre-registration is mandatory. All athletes must register and collect their numbers no later than one hour before their first event. If you have pre-registered, please bring your entry confirmation e-mail/letter with you.
THROWING IMPLEMENTS: Personal implements must be weighed in at the registration desk no later than one hour before the relevant event.
TRACK EVENTS: Athletes must ensure they are at their event 15 minutes before its start time. It is the responsibility of the athletes to listen for the marksman’s call up to race.
FIELD EVENTS: Field events will start at the times stated on the timetable, with warm up rounds occurring in advance of that time. The onus is on athletes to arrive at their events at least 20 minutes before it starts and with enough time to measure run ups and participate in warm up rounds. Once an event has started, late comers will not be able to have practice throws or jumps.
REFRESHMENTS: The track-side café will be open from 9am to 4pm
We look forward to seeing you at our meeting and we hope you have an enjoyable and successful day.
